Archangel

An Archangel is an Angel of higher rank or with greater spiritual power than an ordinary Angel.
The Angiris Council, the ruling party of the High Heavens, consists of five Archangels. Other Archangels are known to exist, but they are not mentioned as members of the Council.
Archangels like Inarius have been known to have the power to create entire realms like Sanctuary.
One of the most famous Archangels is Tyrael.

Archangels are beings surrounded in a shroud of light. They appear to have a small set of wings on their shoulder blades. Their most apparent features are tendrils of light emanating an angelic aura. As stated in Diablo: Kingdom of Shadows these tendrils lead one to believe they have wings of fire. They are described as creatures of perfect features, although one cannot look directly at them without permanent eye damage. Archangels wear elegant plate mail armor that comes in a variety of colours (gold, red, black), adorned with different coloured robes and hoods.
