[edit] Usage
This ability will allow the Amazon to avoid incoming missile attacks while standing still. Useful for Javazons that aren't always at a distance, so they can avoid attacks and increase survivability. Though the points drop off quickly (less than 2% per point after 8) you still need to have at least one into this for Valkyrie.
Avoid will work while attacking.
Any points put into Avoid will give your Valkyrie summon a chance to avoid missile attacks. The percentage for the Valkyrie is based on only the number of hard points allocated - +skill equipment increases the percentage for the Amazon but not the Valkyrie.
The "Avoid Bug":
If the Amazon has an attack in progress and Avoids an enemy's attack, the remainder of the Amazon's attack has no effect. Unfortunately, the full animation sequence of the attack is completed. For example, if the Amazon launches a 10-arrow Strafe attack, but avoids an attack after arrow #2, the other 8 arrows in the sequence still show up on the screen but do not actually have any effect. The Amazon is still "Strafe-Locked" for the duration.

This ability hones the natural defensive ability of an Amazon. If she stands still, she can predict incoming missile attacks and elude them before they reach her. Most Amazon people can do this if all of their thoughts to the task, but only a warrior trained in this skill can do this even whilst caught unaware.
