Beast

Beasts are large, buffalo-like herd beasts seen in the plains areas of Diablo III.

CAUTION: The following section contains content that has not been confirmed. At this point, it is pure speculation.

The Beasts appear very similar to the Horned Ground Sloth, a beast of burden that was revealed a few weeks later. It can be speculated that the Beast may in fact, be the wild counterparts of the Horned Ground Sloth, who seem very domestic in nature.

They have a very fast charging attack, and gore with their huge tusks up close, though the few seen in the WWI 2008 gameplay movie died pretty easily. They are not just animals either; they have been mutated by someone to become monstrous, as a close up view of their face demonstrates.

The one that charges in the gameplay movie signals his intent before the charge, by pausing for a moment, pawing with one forelimb, and snorting a great plume of smoke before rocketing straight at, and subsequently hitting the Witch Doctor.
