Civerb's Cudgel is a unique Mace found in Diablo I. Even though it doesn't look like a very good item, because of its drawback, it has a major advantage: the + Damage vs Demons applies to all damage not just the weapon's, effectively tripling the damage done to demons by any means. Civerb's Cudgel is useful to Sorcerers in the lower levels, where most enemies are demons.
