Messerschmidt's Reaver (Diablo III)

Messerschmidt's Reaver is a legendary two-handed axe in Diablo III. It requires character level 50 to drop.

Aside from being famous for its appearances in Diablo I and Diablo II (the description implies it could be the weapon Aidan himself once wielded), this axe also has considerable damage bonuses and Life per Kill statistic.

As of patch 2.6.6, it also gained a unique affix: reducing the remaining cooldown of one of your skills by 1 second when you slay an enemy. This does work on assist kills and pet kills.

This mighty weapon once hewed its way through the demon-infested catacombs beneath the old Zakarum cathedral in Tristram. Could it be the weapon the warrior Aidan used to defeat Diablo all those years ago?
