Morbed is a former thief. It is said that he possesses a mysterious lantern that he keeps shackled to his wrist, and can wield powers possessed by Necromancers, Wizards, Crusaders, and Druids. A number of tales are told of Morbed, how he roams the lands of Sanctuary, lending aid to those in need, his motivations seemingly due to a desire to atone for some terrible sin in his past.[1]
It is known that at some point Morbed allied with a Necromancer, Wizard, Crusader, and Druid to retrieve an item from an island that had been pilfered an item from Westmarch. They had to confront a terrifying creature that stalked its forests, forcing Morbed to confront his inner demons.[2]
