i was wondering how the item mod works, for example the famous -xx% to enemies lightning resistance on the infinity polearm used on mercenaries. How does theyre lightning resistance drop, is it only affected by what the merc damages out? or does it stick to the conviction aura somehow??
I think Wizendraw might have been a better choice because the Conviction aura really complicates things. As long as they aren't immune, they take added damage according to the percentage listed. With the conviction aura, I'm not sure if it gets added because the aura already generates -85% to all resistances. If not, then it gets applied against the monster's resistances, resulting in increased overall damage.Breywood 10:24, October 19, 2010 (UTC)
