Gheed's Fortune is the only unique grand charm in Diablo II. It grants a large bonus to gold and Magic Find, and is the only charm that reduces vendor prices. Unlike its smaller cousins, Annihilus and Hellfire Torch, Gheed's Fortune does not drop from a specific monster or event and can be found normally. Monsters starting from Act I in Hell difficulty onwards can drop this item.

Gheed's Fortune, when rolled for high magic find, has by far the best magic find boost per unit of space in the inventory. The second-best option are perfect small charms of Luck, which only grant 7%. Gheed's Fortune is therefore a magic finder's staple, with the added bonus that it does not reduce killing power in any way unlike most other magic finding gear (unless one wishes to fill their entire inventory with +skill charms, as is sometimes the case when running Chaos Tristram).

Characters may possess only one such charm in their inventory space. The charm spawns only in Patch 1.10 or later. This item spawns in Ladder and single-player, but can be in Non-Ladder from Ladder resets. This item is a reference to Gheed, an NPC in Diablo II that allows a player to gamble for rare items.
