A Gul rune is a mid rune which can be socketed into equipment in Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. Although Gul is the rarest mid rune, its value is diminished by its availability as a Hellforge drop, and by its lack of popular rune words. In ladder play, Gul runes have some value for transmuting into Vex runes.

The Hellforge on hell difficulty has a 1 in 11 chance to drop a Gul rune as part of its quest reward. Gul is the highest rune that hell Hellforge can drop.
The Act 1 (H) Good treasure class has a chance to drop a Gul rune, as do higher Good treasure classes.
