Heavenly Strength Heavenly Strength
Passive
Allows wielding a two-handed weapon in the main hand while still bearing a shield in the off hand.

However, no matter the circumstances, all damage done by the Crusader is reduced by 20%.

You must quiet both mind and body in order to feel the Light. Only then shall it unleash your hidden strength. — Cleric Akkhan

Heavenly Strength is a passive Crusader skill, unlocked at character level 10.

Note that the damage debuff applies even if the Crusader wields a one-handed weapon, or a two-handed weapon with no shield, as long as this skill is selected. The debuff is not multiplicative: 20% is deducted from the "damage increased by skills" stat.

Holy Cause and Hellskull can be used to negate the damage loss completely.

Since Flail of the Charge is two-handed, the Norvald's Fervor set cannot be completed without this skill, making it the only set in game that cannot be equipped by characters without a specific build option.

Originally, this skill also reduced the character's maximum movement speed, while the Hellskull was removing this penalty. In Patch 2.0.5., Heavenly Strength was changed to have no negative effects, and the above-mentioned shield was changed to increase damage of two-handed weapons instead. As of 2.1, following the two-handed weapons damage buff, the damage penalty has been bestowed upon this passive to keep the total damage roughly the same as before the patch.
