The Hellfire Amulet is a craftable legendary amulet in Diablo III. It rolls stats for level 70, but only requires character level 1 to be equipped.

The Hellfire Amulet essentially gives the character five passive skills: it will have a secondary legendary affix that provides a randomized passive skill of the class who crafted it. The passive skill cannot be re-rolled once an amulet is crafted, so it may be very challenging to get an optimal combination of the skill and stats. Each passive skill only works for the class that normally has it: one cannot use this amulet to gain a passive skill of another class. Passives also do not duplicate if taken normally and on the amulet.

Since it automatically binds to the player's account upon being made and requires materials only obtainable at level 70, it is unobtainable without access to Reaper of Souls.

This is one of the few Legendary items in game that cannot be extracted into Kanai's Cube. As of patch 2.3.0, it always rolls a guaranteed socket.

Crafting[]

For the detailed guide, see Hellfire Ring and Infernal Machine.

It can be acquired through the Infernal Machine event. The crafting plan can be acquired from Squirt the Peddler in Act II for 100,000 gold.

To make a Hellfire Amulet, one will need all the same materials as those for the level 70 Hellfire Ring (10,000 gold, Heart of Evil, Vial of Putridness, Idol of Terror).

The amulet can be crafted in three variants: of Dexterity, of Intelligence and of Strength, like the old Hellfire Rings. There is no option to craft amulets with Vitality.

Regardless of whether the player chooses their current class's core stat, the passive rolled is guaranteed to be for their class.

Unlike all other Jewelry, Enchanting the Hellfire Amulet doesn't require any gems.
