The Homing Pads are Legendary pauldrons in Diablo III. They require character level 10 to drop.

The unique affix, while in theory useful to get in town amidst the combat (especially if coupled with skills that grant immunity to damage), is actually more useful for surviving spikes of damage, for at any moment (when not Stunned / in Knockback) you can channel the Town Portal to reduce all incoming damage. However, it will not work in boss fights, for they block the Town Portal from being used.

Stats (Level 10)Edit

Homing Pads
Legendary Pauldrons

  • 144-164 Armor

  • Your Town Portal is no longer interrupted by taking damage. While casting Town Portal you gain a protective bubble that reduces damage taken by 50–65%
  • One of 3 Magic Properties (varies):
  • +9–10% Extra Gold from Monsters
  • +3 Random Magic Properties

These enchanted shoulder pieces maintain a constant connection to the origin point of their wearer.

  • These pauldrons are a possible reference to the classic World of Warcraft "Bubble Hearth" method of escaping the combat: use of Divine Shield (aka Bubble, immunity to all damage for 12 seconds) and subsequent use of a hearthstone (teleport to 'home' location, 10 seconds cast time).
