Impenetrable Defense was a skill utilized by the Monk in early versions of Diablo III. In the final version, it was replaced with Serenity and Inner Sanctuary.
Obviously a defensive-based skill, Impenetrable Defense had so far been seen in conjunction with the usage of a staff. The Monk swung his weapon around himself, creating a luminous sphere that he wrapped himself in. He easily reflected any projectiles back to their senders while the barrier was intact. In the gameplay trailer, Impenetrable Defense was also used to ward off melee fighters, temporarily giving a 100% dodge rate.
