The Key of Hate was a miscellaneous crafting material in Diablo III, it could be combined with other keys to create a machine of infernal power.
They have an Item Level of 63 and require a character level of 1. They can be stacked up to a maximum of 100.

The Key of Hate dropped from Sokahr the Keywarden at Dahlgur Oasis in Act II on Torment I or higher difficulty at level 60-69. It is account bound.
As of patch 2.3, it no longer drops. Existing Keys automatically become Infernal Machines.
