[edit] Usage
Thrown javelins causes poison damage and leaves a trail of poison clouds.
Generally, until you get a high-level Pierce, you should not target the monsters directly, but rather target just near them. When the poison javelin misses, it will just pass by them, but still leave a poison cloud which can still poison the nearby monster. This becomes less of an issue with Pierce.
You need to consider carefully when to use either Poison Javelin or Plague Javelin. Plague Javelin does significantly larger damage in a particular amount of time, and has a large area of effect (especially compounded with Pierce), but has a long timer; poison javelin does larger total damage and has a far shorter timer, but has a small area of effect. Generally, against groups of opponents that are as likely to run away as rush to you (e.g. Fallen), this skill is better than Plague Javeln.
