Skeletal Executioners
(a.k.a. Skull Cleavers) are a type of undead in Diablo III, first seen in demo at BlizzCon 2008. They are the latest revealed member of the ever-increasing Skeletal Horde. Visually, they resemble the Diablo II Reanimated Horde skeletons.

Skeletal Executioners

Skeletal Executioners look like the stereotypical executioners from the Inquisition. They wear tattered hoods and huge shoulder pads, and drag a huge double-edged axe that causes sparks to fly behind them as it is dragged on the ground.

It is not clear how, though many monsters of this type can be found in groups like regular Skeleton Warriors and Archers, since Executioners are not known to be very social people, often preferring to work alone rather than in groups. But the newest entrant in the Skeleton family has some new skills up his sleeve. He possesses incredible strength, being able to swing the huge axes causing massive damage.

In gameEdit

The Skeletal Executioner can be found in dungeons with others of their kind. They have a short range charge attack that they finish with a devastating swipe of their axe, but, because of their slow attack rate, if the player manages to avoid the first hit, the Skeletal Executioners are sure targets. Later in game, quicker versions are encountered, who move fast even with their heavy axes.
