impact of conviction aura?

I believe the game takes the stronger one into account. It means that they do not override each other, but only one (stronger) debuff applies to each variable. Pryamus (talk) 15:12, January 24, 2016 (UTC)

You could edit yourself a Conviction Pally with a lower resist wand.  Some monsters are immune to a level 20 conviction, like Hell Fallen Ones.  I could ask also on the Blizzard forums as I'm a regular visitor there.
