Talk:Prince Albrecht

From Diablo Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Did Albrecht actually die? The cutscene shows him turning his head to look at the hero as he/she jabs the soulstone into the camera. Is there official Blizzard canon on the status of Prince Albrecht? Just wondering if he may still be alive at this point. ```` Manicus

Woah. Are you sure? That's good info. Can you add that? I'm going to college now. Good work. POLTERGEIST "Fear me" (f")f <-- Mobokill 03:07, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
He did die, he didn't turn his head, it just wasn't supported by any muscles anymore, so it fell to one side. Dan (talk) 03:32, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
OK. I haven't given much attention to the D1 cutscenes after seeing what D2 had to offer. Yes, I bought D1 after D2. But, I assume that the player kills Diablo and then plunges the stone in himself. That would not give the time that's required to stay still and turn his head when he's cracking his skull. Unless of course, Diablo's soul escapes from the boy and he does a poltergeist. Floating and spinning. That would be awesome. Note to self - complete D1 after getting home. "Fear me" (f")f <-- Mobokill 04:19, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Perhaps, but the cough he gave off after returning to human form seemed more 'alive' than 'dying' to me. It would also seem to me that if he were dead, there wouldn't be a dying gasp, and he'd just be dead in Diablo's form. It makes more sense to me that way, since there isn't really a reason for a human to return to pre-possessed form unless they were alive. Upon killing Mephisto and Baal in D2, they don't seem to return to their previous host forms. - "Manicus"

Ah. Mephisto and Baal... Memories. Ahem, if memory serves, both Sankekur and Tal Rasha were more than a few hundred years old. So I doubt they'd return to their old form. Atleast ... they wouldn't have much luck dating. Heh heh. But you forgot Diablo in D2, that is valid. A boy cannot possibly take a hole-in-the-chest, now can he? So, maybe after Diablo was removed from him, his own soul regained control only to see his body was not willing to live. And he got to see someone crack his skull. I would postpone dying just for that. "OMG LOLZ LUK HOW PUWAFOOL DA WITCH DOCTA IZZ!!!" - Mobokill 06:16, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
