|Taunts a monster, compelling it to engage in melee combat|
Pinpointing an opponent's physical weakness is not the only talent a warrior of the Steppes possesses. He can often ascertain what emotional weakness might allow the barbarian to goad an opponent into a fight. A Barbarian taunting an opponent into a blind rage hopes to capitalize on the mistakes enemies may make while so angered. It is this ability that causes Barbarians to have a poor reputation as drinking partners.
A challenging shout that makes the surrounding monsters attack you. While it may not seem potentially useful when you're alone, with mobs naturally coming to you anyway, it also decreases the attacker's attack rating and damage. This can also be useful with more than one person in game; using this, a Barbarian can force enemies to attack him and no one else, allowing hirelings or casters like the Sorceress to make their moves freely of their own will.
When used on ranged monsters, they will stop shooting and try to approach and melee the Barbarian. The Barbarian can also use this skill to lure each monster out of their group for easier killing, such as with the Countess in the Forgotten Tower.
Taunt will not work on Berserk, Possessed, Fanatic, or other creatures immune to Terror or Confuse, nor Super Unique Monsters, Champions, and Bosses.
