Todesfaelle Flamme can be equated to a weaker version of Flamebellow, due to its similar effects.
Like its name implies, Todesfaelle Flamme adds a very large amount of Fire damage to its attacks. Although many enemies are immune to fire in Hell difficulty, this does not necessarily downgrade Todesfaelle Flamme's effectiveness, as it is still a powerful weapon nonetheless.
In terms of other properties, Todesfaelle Flamme also gives its user the ability to cast the spells Fire Wall and Enchant. Although Fire Wall is useful for its stacking damage, a physical fighter would most likely find Enchant more effective for their purposes.
Todesfaelle Flamme, on the defensive side, gives a good boost to Fire Resist that can be very useful in later game modes. When combined with other fire resistant equipment (or even another fire resistant weapon such as Hexfire, in the case of a Barbarian), it can increase fire resist to levels as high as 95, even in Hell difficulty.
