From Diablo Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

The Undead are most common in the cathedral portion of the labyrinth. They are resistant to blades, but weak against clubs and similar weapons. The spell Holy Bolt will only work against Undead monsters.

Contents

[edit] Skeletons

Skeletons are commonly found throughout the cathedral section of the labyrinth, and some appear in the upper catacombs as well. There are several types of skeletons. Some use swords, another group wields axes, while still others are archers.

[edit] Unique Skeletons

  • Bonehead Keenaxe - Dungeon Level 2
  • Deadeye (archer) - Dungeon Level 2
  • Brokenhead Bangshield - Dungeon Level 3
  • Skullfire (archer) - Dungeon Level 3
  • Backash the Burning (archer) - Dungeon Level 4
  • Madeye the Dead - Dungeon Level 4
  • Shadowdrinker - Dungeon Level 5

[edit] Zombies

Zombies are commonly found throughout the cathedral section of the labyrinth, but are rarer than skeletons. They are also quite slow. Beware of the Black Death variety: they can drain a hero's maximum life.

[edit] Unique Monster: Skeleton King (King Leoric)

King Leoric is a unique undead enemy whose form does not appear like any of the other undead types in the game. He is a skeleton, but is much taller, wears a crown, and wields a huge sword. In single player games with the Curse of King Leoric Quest, he appears in a mini-level called King Leoric's Tomb which is accessible from dungeon level 3. After pulling levers to open his chamber, he attacks the player with a small company of skeletons. He will resurrect his small band of skeletons, so players focus their damage against him. In multiplayer games, he appears on the third floor itself. In this instance he is far harder, since he is surrounded by a gang of skeleton archers. If the player can attract him away from the archers, he will not be as hard. He is considerably more powerful than the monsters around him, and will take much more damage to kill. He is quite weak, however, against the spell Holy Bolt. As a quest reward in single player he gives the Undead Crown. The great effect this item gives is life-steal that stacks with other life-stealing abilities.

[edit] New Undead in Diablo II

[edit] Oblivion Knights

Oblivion Knights are new to Diablo II and come in three main classes, the doom knights, the abyss knights, and the oblivion knights.

[edit] Doom Knights

Doom knights carry longswords and can deal random elemental damage with each strike. Although they do not carry with them a shield, they are able to block physical attacks with their sword. However, it does not happen very oftenly.

There are no superunique Doom Knights in Diablo II.

[edit] Abyss Knights

Abyss knights are a cross between the Doom knight and the Oblivion knights. They carry a longsword but on one hand while having colored light emitting from the other hand. The lights on their hand decides the missile they cast.

Abyss knights with 'red light' cast fire missiles. Abyss knights with 'blue light' cast cold missiles. Abyss knights with 'green light' cast poison missiles. Abyss knights with 'purple light' cast magic missiles.

Apart from casting missiles, Abyss knights can also cast the necromancer's bone armor spell.
