[edit] Usage
Warmth is one of Sorceress's best non-damaging skills and may vary well be one of the most important, if not the most important, passive skill. This skill greatly increases the regeneration rate of the Sorceress's mana pool, and allows her to cast spells with little worry for mana conservation.
Players disagree on exactly how many points should go into warmth. Although some believe warmth should be maxed out, other more conservative players believe a sorceress can survive simply with Mana Potions. Blizzard Sorceresses or Meteorb Sorceresses may agree with this latter philosophy, since a majority of their points go to synergizing skills, and can't be wasted on Warmth.
However, it is generally agreed that no matter what the player, a Sorceress should put at least one point into warmth; that way, even if its not maxed out, Warmth can bestow its bonuses due to + skills from equipment.
Although nothing synergizes with Warmth, Warmth does synergize with other abilities: most notably Inferno and Enchant. Therefore, an Enchantress would certainly wish to max out Warmth, as would a Sorceress that wishes to have a powerful Inferno. In fact, the two abilities work hand in hand, as Inferno drains mana while Warmth refills it.
Sorceresses should keep in mind that a high enough warmth essentially is the same as a Meditation aura; although the two can stack, if a sorceress has a Paladin in the party willing to use Meditation, or the Insight Rune Word, it may be redundant.
Warmth + Regeneration Items: How does an item with Mana Regeneration work with Warmth?
In this case the formula is: (BaseRegenrate*Warmth)+item.
[edit] History
If a Sorceress wishes to truly become a formidable spellcaster, she will pursue this talent. By collecting the essence of the ambient heat in the surrounding air, she can convert this energy into the mystical force that powers her spells. In this way, she recovers more quickly from her magical exertions.
